The sliding roof makes refilling so much easier than the open-top feeder I had before, no more hay raining all over the floor. Took it apart to clean last weekend and it went back together without a fight. My chinchilla actually sits in it now, which I guess means he approves.
My guinea pig used to yank hay out and scatter it everywhere, but this feeder keeps it contained way better than the wire rack I had before. The whole thing lifts off the wall easily when I need to scrub it, which is a lot less annoying than my old setup.
