Useful for smaller models of dog and cat flaps, like Swing 1, 3 and 5, the modular extension tunnel can be ordered separately. It is useful for installing smaller flaps on thick structures (for larger models, the tunnel is provided with the flap). Tunnel extensions are available in two colours that can be used with all Swing 1 , 3 and 5 flaps. Screws are not included.
My wall is nearly 4 inches thick so the standard tunnel was way too short, and this extension fit right on with no gaps. Had the Swing 3 flap up and running for my cat in about ten minutes.
This modular extension saved me when my door was too thick for the standard flap, and it clicks into place easily. Exactly what I needed to complete the installation.
It does the job for fitting a smaller flap through my thick door, but the tunnel itself feels pretty flimsy for what it costs. Took some fiddling to line it up properly too. Works, just not impressed with the build.
