Useful for the cat flap Swing Microchip, the modular extension tunnel can be ordered separately. It is useful for installing the flap on thick structures (deeper than 55 mm). Tunnel extensions are available in two colours that can be used with all Swing Microchip flaps. Screws are not included.
Our wall turned out way thicker than the 55 mm the flap allows, so this extension tunnel saved the whole install. It clicks together with the main unit like it was always meant to be there, no cutting or extra brackets needed. Wish they'd mentioned it in the original listing, but glad I found it.
I needed to mount the cat flap in a thicker wall and this extension tunnel snapped on without any fuss. It's nice that you can order extra tunnel pieces on their own instead of buying a whole new setup. The cat figured it out the same day.
Our walls are thicker than standard, so this extension tunnel was exactly what we needed to install the cat flap properly. It clicked into place securely and the flap works perfectly now—no more struggling with the depth limit.
