The cover fits perfectly over my rats' bottle and actually keeps the water from freezing during cold nights. My guinea pig seems to drink more now that the water stays a consistent temperature.
Didn't think a cover would make much difference, but my rats' water stays cooler on hot afternoons now instead of warming up in the sun. It slips on easily and the insulation seems to actually block the light like it claims.
I was worried the bottle would get too warm by the window, but this cover keeps the water noticeably cooler all day. It slides on easily and my guinea pig seems happy to drink as usual.
